Toyota Supra Overview
The Toyota Supra finally makes its comeback after years of waiting and it’s now in the Philippines. In a move that has been critiqued by quite a few motoring enthusiasts, the Japanese brand collaborates with an unlikely ally this time around. Long been considered Toyota’s ultimate in terms of premium sports cars, the brand finally revives it with German DNA woven into its parts. The Toyota GR Supra’s look is definitely impressive, and the aesthetics are geared towards enthusiasts, modders, and tuners. It features the same chassis and dimensions as the Z4, but with a big Toyota twist in terms of styling and everything else in between.
The MkV Supra's interior is definitely a collaborative effort, but with touches that warrant the Supra to become a true Toyota. The engine is a tribute to Toyota Supra’s most legendary engine, the 2JZ GTE. Sporting the same layout and number of cylinders, the straight-six engine also comes with twin turbos that stay true to the Supra heritage. It also comes with adaptive variable suspension, limited-slip differential, and 50:50 weight distribution to complement the performance of the iconic sports coupe.
The fifth-generation Toyota GR Supra prices in the Philippines depend on the color variant: Prominence Red, White Metallic, Black Metallic, Lighting Yellow, Silver Metallic, Ice Gray Metallic, Deep Blue Metallic, and Matte Storm Gray. The most exclusive color, the Matte Storm Gray, comes in a very limited number. Only 16 Toyota dealerships in the Philippines are capable of servicing a brand-new GR Supra.

The Toyota GR Supra was launched on July 9, 2019. The current-generation J29/DB Supra is the direct successor to the A80 Supra. It features a 3.0-liter inline-six BMW engine with a twin-scroll turbo. The power plant produces 335 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The version being sold in the country is the European-spec version and is only available in one variant compared to what is available to the rest of the world. Prices depend on the buyer's color choice.

The engine produces 335 hp and 500 Nm of torque propelling the car from 0-100kph in 4.4 seconds.
For suspension, the vehicle has Double-joint Type MacPherson Strut for the front and multi-link suspension for the rear. The Supra also features a limited-slip differential for the rear axles. Stopping power comes in the form of Ventilated Disc Brakes with 4-Piston Fixed Caliper for the front and Ventilated Disc Brakes with 1-Piston Floating Caliper for the rear. Thanks to its powerful engine, the performance car has a wider set of 19-inch wheels at the back.
